SQL Reporting Services is powerful, user-friendly, very flexible, and takes full advantage of your SQL database investment. The additional benefit of Microsoft SQL Reporting Services is one-click export of reports to common desktop file formats including Word, PDF, Excel and CSV files, making it simple and easy for users to re-purpose report data for individual needs.
Report Design
Reports can range from simple, static (“canned”) reports with tabular information, to complex cross-tabular reports with charts and graphics. Interactive charts with drill-down capabilities are also possible.
We frequently build “ad hoc” reporting interfaces that allow users to select from a number of fields and filters to generate a custom set of information. This approach is not only easier to use, but can substantially reduce the number of reports needed and the cost.
Report Deployment
There are a number of different methods for deploying reports: you can embed them directly inside your business application, deliver via email to a list of recipients on a pre-defined schedule, and/or make reports available on-demand through a standard Internet browser.
